Supervision for new therapists

Lisa wants to supervise, mentor and encourage the next generation of counselling therapists. She plans to begin in 2027.

1 Why

Teaching from experience

Lisa believes in teaching from experience while recognizing that every therapist brings their own strengths, perspective and gifts to the profession.

Her goal is to help new therapists build their skills, their confidence and their own areas of excellence, so they can make a real difference for the people they serve.

2 Where things stand

Not available yet

To supervise counselling therapist candidates in Nova Scotia, a Registered Counselling Therapist has to meet the requirements of the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, complete approved supervision training and be approved by the College. Lisa plans to offer supervision once she has completed those steps.

Read NSCCT's candidacy supervision policy for the details.
