Accessibility
A site everyone can use
Lisa wants everyone to be able to find information and book care. This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Last reviewed October 10, 2026.
What's built in
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are.
- Pages are organized with headings, landmarks and labelled links for screen readers, and photographs have text descriptions.
- Text can be enlarged to 200 percent or more, and the layout adapts to screens as narrow as 320 pixels.
- Text colours meet WCAG contrast requirements, most at the stricter AAA level.
- Body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute for readers with low vision.
- The site follows your device settings for reduced motion, dark mode and high contrast, including Windows contrast themes.
- Nothing plays or moves on its own. The breathing exercise runs only when you start it, and you can pause it at any time.
- There are no time limits, pop-ups or forms on this site.
Known limitations
- Online booking happens on Practice Better, a separate service, so this site can't control its accessibility. If it doesn't work well for you, email Lisa and she will book with you directly.
- The complaint process infographic from the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists is a PDF. A full text version is on the professional standards page.
- Details about physical access at the clinic are not on the site yet. Email Lisa before your visit to ask about access, parking or anything else that would help.
